Our Local Food banks...

During the COVID-19 outbreak, FoodBanks have been classified as a Key Public Service by the Government and their volunteers are considered to be key/essential workers. In view of this, Resound FoodBank remains open and will continue to do so.
Demand for their services during this outbreak has seen an increase of nearly 100% so a continuous flow of food donations is essential for them to continue to feed those in need. The generosity to the FoodBank over the years has been incredible and continued support in the coming months will be greatly appreciated.
Items that they are most in need of are as follows;Tinned Carrots, Tinned Mushrooms, Tinned Chicken Casserole, Tinned Chicken in White Sauce, Tinned Minced Beef, Tinned Spaghetti, Tinned Macaroni Cheese, Tinned Cold Meat, Meat/Fish Paste, Pasta Sauce Sachets, Noodles, Rice Puddings, Tinned Fruit, Jam, Fruit Juice (Long Life), UHT Milk, Washing Up Liquid, Soap, Cat Food – Wet and Dry, Dog Food - Wetbut any tinned, dry or packeted items with good BBE dates would be of use.
Donations can be placed in the permanent collection boxes located in the Sainsburys store in Emersons Green and Lyde Green, or you should be able to leave them at the Resound Centre on Monday - Thursday between 1000-1200 though it may be best to ring first on 0117 3050969 to confirm that someone will be there.
