Congratulations Canon Frank!

Congratulations to our own, dear, Fr Frank who was installed as an Honourary Canon of the Diocese at a special ceremony at the Cathedral on Tuesday 25th February.
There was a 'bumper' crowd who came along to see Canon Frank receive this honour from Bishop Declan along with Canon Gregory Grant and Canon Christopher Whitehead who were made Chapter Canons.

So many of our Parishioners came in to help celebrate this wonderful honour after Canon Frank's 1st weekend Mass on Saturday 29th February. His cake, wearing the ceremonial cape, was a big hit!

Diocesan Pilgrimage 2020

Bishop Declan is leading this year’s diocesan pilgrimage to Northern Spain as part of our celebration for the Year of Communion. The pilgrimage will be from Thursday 22 October to Thursday 29 October and will be a celebration of the forthcoming 500th Anniversary (2022) of St Ignatius at Manresa and the writing of  his Spiritual Exercises. There is an attached poster with the details of the places we will visit, flight/accommodation information and the payment required. You will also find on this link the booking forms and terms & conditions for the pilgrimage. There are 40 places available.
If you are interested in taking part in this year’s pilgrimage you just need to complete the booking form and return with a deposit to Gill Didino at Tangney Tours (Pilgrim House, Station Court, Borough Green, Kent, TN15 8AF). For further information they can contact Gill on 01732 886666 or call 0117 9025595 / adult.education@cliftondiocese.com.
It is always a real time of deepening prayer, strengthening our mission and growing in our own spirituality of Communion. We return to the diocese encouraged and enthused as a people of faith, sent to be living stones proclaiming the good news of the Gospel.

Parish Projects announced for 2020

Following the ballot completed last Sunday, the result of the Parish Project vote was a resounding victory for the Grassroots Suicide Prevention project with over 45% of the votes cast.  Runner up was the Patrick Wild Centre.
These two projects are therefore adopted as the Parish projects for the year to the end of January 2021.
Thank you to everyone who voted in the ballot and to all who nominated charities for us to consider.
Look out for fundraising and awareness events coming up throughout the year.
