Armistice Day
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We Will Remember Them.

“They buried him among the kings because he had done good toward God and his house.”
Today marks the centenary of the burial of the Unknown Warrior, who was laid to rest one hundred years ago in Westminster Abbey in the presence of the King and the nation.

At 11am this morning we will pause for two minutes to remember all our servicemen and women who made the ultimate sacrifice.

You can read about the Unknown Warrior’s last journey here:

We also remember our own, dear, Deacon Peter Hinchey who would have celebrated his 88th Birthday today.
We know that he is missed by so many people and that he meant so much to our Parish.
We send our love to his family today.
