St Augustine's... a 'LIVE SIMPLY' Parish ~ Update from Bella Harding ~

* The Vatican has launched its Laudato Si Action Platform which will provide full details on October 4th. It is very exciting to see a global initiative involving all parts of the Catholic Church. We can sign up to the Prayer for the Care of our Common Home https://laudatosipray.org/

so please pray. We know it is powerful in this important year.

* The Live Simply project team has done some tidying up & weeding of the area around the church (We hope you noticed!!)

* We are planning to make a Laudato Si Care of Creation banner for the Season of Creation. For this we need all you handicraft people to take a square of cotton at the weekend, and design on it whatever you think of “creation”.... flowers, trees, rivers, animals, fruits, people, sun moon & stars, to provide a patchwork surround to the Laudato Si goals. We hope you will have fun and there are lots of resources available if needed. Get stuck in. Deadline mid-August to give us time to put it all together. 

* Our sharing of seedlings and produce the other weekend was VERY popular. So we may bring plants or harvest to the church for sharing at other times. Keep an eye out for us!

* You are all welcome to join our Live Simply group, on zoom for the moment, where we discuss ideas & join together in hope. The dates are as follows: (Fridays at 6.30pm) *25^thJune, *30^th July, *27^th August, 24^th Sept & *29^th Oct. Please email me at isabellahf@hotmail.com for the link.
