Lepra UK
We would ask all our parishioners to take a moment to watch this short film from Lepra who have recently made contact with our parish with the following message:

"We understand that there are huge demands made on parishes these days, but the thousands of people with leprosy in India, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe are some of the world's poorest people who are unable to help themselves.
Without our help they will be condemned to a life of poverty, prejudice and painful disability.
Leprosy is a curable disease, and with your help, hopefully we can work to make it a disease that will have no place in the future, by raising awareness, organising early detection and treatment, reducing prejudice and supporting people to transform their lives when affected by leprosy."

Please visit the website at https://www.lepra.org.uk/ if you are able to make a donation, however small, towards the important work they do.

Dear God, we thank you for the work of those helping others around the world and we ask you to alleviate the suffering of those afflicted with this disease.

Thank you and may God bless you all. Fr Frank

St Francis Leprosy Guild is another organisation who are working hard to help those with this disease and working towards ending the stigma and suffering.

Please consider helping where you can.
